Walking
Burnsall is an ideal place to base yourself for a weekend or weeks walking and walks of any ability and length can be planned (The Hirst family can help you with this - ask for more details). Combine this with the local bus service and any walks in wharfedale can be planned and made.

Wharfe View Farm is an excellent place to base the first few days of the Dalesway Walk (Ilkley to Windermere) and free off-road parking is available to anyone staying with us for all three days of the walk. 

Cycle hire 
Can be made from villages close to Burnsall which are linked by the local bus service.

Local buses
The local bus service runs from about 8 in the morning until seven at night and links most villages quite cheaply. Day rover tickets can be purchased for around £5 which also get you to the towns of Skipton and Ilkey.
