Burnsall is a picturesque dales village famous for its bridge and
fell race run every August. Burnsall
is ideal for exploring many of the Yorkshire Dales either by foot,
bicycle, car or bus. Good
fishing is also available, day permits can be
purchased in the
shop close by.
Eating out in Burnsall is a difficult choice. There are two good restaurants, a traditional tea room, also varied bar snacks in the local public houses. Bar snacks are available in all the small villages around Burnsall.
Other attractions in Burnsall are the river, the church, chapel, old school and nearby the hidden village of Thorpe.
Wharfe View Farm is an excellent place to base the first few days of the
Dalesway Walk (Ilkley to Windermere) and free off-road parking is
available to anyone staying with us for all three days of the walk.
